Double colon?

What does the double colons mean, such as "base::scale?"

Answer or follow-up question 1

Dear student,

The double colon allows us to specify the package (base) in which the function (scale) resides. I we have loaded two packages, and both have
a function with the same name (but different functionality), then using that function's name will call the function from the package that
was loaded last. The function of the first package will be masked.

Therefore, if we want the function of the first package we would add `packagename::'.
